  • 3 cups frozen hash browns (shredded & thawed)
  • 3 medium-sized eggs
  • 1/4 cup butter (melted)
  • 1 cup ham (diced & cooked)
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup green onion (chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • salt to taste


  1. Preheat oven to 220 °C.
  2. On a working surface, press the hash browns with paper towels to remove excess moisture from them.
  3. Take a 9" or 10" oven-proof baking plate and add a layer of cooking spray to it.
  4. Toss in hash browns to the baking plate and gently press both at the sides and the bottom to make a crust.
  5. Drizzle melted butter on top of the crust.
  6. Bake for about 20 minutes.
  7. Take a large bowl and add all the remaining ingredients to it.
  8. Give it a good whip to combine all the ingredients.
  9. Pour it on the baked crust.
  10. Reduce the oven's temperature to 175 °C.
  11. Transfer the baking dish back to the oven and bake for another 25 minutes.
  12. Afer baking, wait for 15 minutes before serving.
