Ingredients:
- 2-1/2 cups of all purpose wheat flour
- 25 gm dried yeast
- 1 tsp castor sugar
- 2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 350 gm beef mince (coarse consistency)
- 1 big white onion (sliced)
- 3/4 cup tomato puree
- 1 tsp dried herbs
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 4 tsp olive oil
- oodles of grated Mozzarella cheese
- salt to taste
Instructions:
- Sift wheat flour, castor sugar, salt and extra virgin olive oil in a container.
- Mix 2 tsp of water with dried yeast and briskly whip it for about half a minute.
- Add it in the sifted flour.
- Slowly add lukewarm water and knead it into a soft and stretchy pizza dough base.
- Cover with a food grade plastic sheet and keep aside in a warm and damp corner for about 1 hour.
- Meanwhile, heat 4 tsp olive oil in a heavy base iron skillet.
- Add minced beef in it with garlic paste and sauté for about 2 minutes on a medium flame.
- Season with dried herbs, paprika, cumin powder, black pepper, onion powder and salt.
- Sauté for one minute and add tomato puree with 1/4 cup of lukewarm water.
- Mix and cook all the ingredients on a medium flame for about 5 to 6 minutes.
- Keep aside and let it cool down.
- Slowly pat and spread the pizza dough on a flat wooden base to give it a shape of a pizza base.
- Make a layer of seasoned and semi-cooked minced beef on top of the base.
- Follow it with randomly placing sliced white onions on top.
- Finish the topping with a generous sprinkle of grated Mozzarella cheese.
- Bake in an oven for about 10 to 12 minutes on a low-medium setting.
- Serve hot with your favorite soft beverage.
