Spinach and chicken sandwichI love to use tender spinach leaves in sandwiches. Today, we're going to make a simple yet delicious sandwich preparation which of course includes spinach and chicken chunks and a generous amount of cheese. Although I've used baguette sandwich bread, you can use your preferred bread variant. Weight-conscious people can easily replace cheese with margarine or with a spicy dip made with fresh herbs. Instead of chicken, you can also use a substitute white meat, preferably from seafood. And, to liven up your taste buds, one can sprinkle fiery chili flakes on grilled chicken slices before stuffing them within the sandwich. So, here we go to make this cheesy and fulfilling sandwich recipe in a few easy steps.

Cheesy chicken sandwich

Enjoy this nutritious and cheesy sandwich preparation which consists of tender spinach leaves with seasoned and grilled chicken chunks in baguette loaf.

Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 8 minutes
Servings: 4

  • 4 baguette sandwich loafs (cut into halves)
  • 300 gm processed cheese (grated)
  • small bunch of tender spinach leaves
  • 2 chicken breasts (sliced flatly into halves)
  • fresh ground black pepper (for seasoning)
  • sea salt to taste
  • 2 tsp extra virgin olive oil


  1. Sprinkle sea salt and ground pepper on chicken slices and rub well with your fingers.
  2. Heat olive oil in a nonstick grill pan and place all 4 chicken slices in it.
  3. Grill from both sides for about 3 minute each or till they're just done.
  4. Place a bed of tender spinach leaves on the sandwich bread and top it with grilled chicken slices.
  5. Sprinkle grated cheese on top and cover with the other half of the bread.
  6. Microwave for about a minute on a high setting.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite beverage.
