Make this sweet and delicious peach cake recipe glazed with tangy and sweet orange marmalade topping you can relish anytime of the day with tea or coffee.

Servings: 10

  • 3 cups all purpose wheat flour
  • 2 large and ripe peaches (sliced)
  • 200 gm unsalted butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup castor sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup orange marmalade
  • 3 to 4 tsp orange juice


  1. Grease the cake baking tin with unsalted butter and mix brown sugar in half the quantity of the butter.
  2. Whip it slightly for half a minute and pour it on the base of the baking tin.
  3. Carefully arrange peach slices above it in your preferred way.
  4. Mix castor sugar in the remaining butter and whip both of them till the base reaches smooth consistency.
  5. Add vanilla extract, salt, eggs, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon powder and wheat flour in it.
  6. Slowly add milk in it and mix everything to form an elastic cake batter.
  7. If required, you can add some more milk.
  8. Pour this cake base in the cake tin over peach slices.
  9. Bake it in a preheated oven at 300 degrees for about 50 minutes.
  10. In a saucepan add marmalade and orange juice.
  11. Bring it to a boil on a low flame and stir continuously till it melts and reaches right consistency.
  12. Take out baked cake from the tin and pour the lukewarm marmalade glaze on top of the cake.
  13. Spread it evenly with a spatula or spoon.
  14. Serve with chilled fruits and chocolate wafers.
