Smoked Salmon Sandwich with Cream Cheese and SpinachThis fulfilling sandwich is a complete meal combining the goodness of spinach and salmon. Use sesame bread to add the crunchiness in the sandwich. You can also use flat pita bread for this recipe. I've used ready-made smoked salmon sheets though you can smoke at home too. Cream cheese is highly recommended though you can replace it with your favorite cheese variant. Either use the tender and small spinach leaves or blanch it before stuffing in the sandwich. If you really like spicy stuff, drizzle sweet chili sauce on top before serving these sandwiches. Addition of bacon can add more flavor though I prefer to prepare it just with smoked salmon. So let's make this tasty sandwich for breakfast.

Nutritious salmon and spinach sandwich

Enjoy this delicious and fulfilling sandwich made with tasty salmon slices with tangy cream cheese and tender spinach leaves for a scrumptious serving.

Servings: 6

  • 8 to 10 sandwich slices (sesame coated)
  • 8 salmon slices
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • small bunch of spinach leaves (small & tender)
  • pinch of paprika
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • pinch of fresh ground black pepper
  • 8 to 10 tomato slices
  • lettuce sprigs (for garnish)
  • 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • salt to taste


  1. Burn oak wood in a smoker and place salted salmon slices on top.
  2. Cover the lid and smoke for about 15 minutes.
  3. Mix ground pepper, paprika, olive oil and lime juice in cream cheese.
  4. Whip it well for a minute.
  5. Take one sandwich slice and apply a layer of seasoned cream cheese.
  6. Place tomato slices above it.
  7. Follow it with a layer of smoked salmon slice.
  8. Top it with spinach leaves layer and finish with another slice of sandwich bread.
  9. Grill it for a minute on low temperature.
  10. Garnish with lettuce sprig and serve immediately.
