The following pizza includes several delicious flavoring agents to make the entire topping, a delight. For best results, cut the thinnest possible slices of zucchini and onion. Do not overcook this pizza else it may not taste that great. Including zucchini in pizzas is one of the best ways to ensure your kids eat it without any resistance. This pizza is light on stomach with very less oil. I've used white onion for this pizza which can be replaced with red onion to get more sharpness in the flavor. I prefer to sprinkle coarsely ground dried herbs on top before serving this pizza. Let's quickly make this nutritious vegan pizza.

Zucchini and white onion pizza

Do make this delicious and fiber packed pizza recipe which has a tasty topping of white onion slices and fresh zucchini slices seasoned with pepper and herbs.

Cooking time: 10 minutes
Servings: 6

  • 2 cups all purpose wheat flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 2 zucchini (thinly sliced)
  • 1 white onion (thinly sliced)
  • 2 roasted garlic cloves (finely minced)
  • 10 to 12 pickled capers (cut in halves)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp fennel seeds powder (roasted)
  • 1/4 tsp ground pepper
  • 50 gm melted butter
  • pinch of red chili flakes
  • coriander sprigs (for garnish)
  • salt to taste


  1. Add baking powder with a pinch of salt in wheat flour and sift it well.
  2. Add lukewarm water and knead into soft and nice pizza dough.
  3. Keep the dough aside for 10 minutes.
  4. Slightly grease the pizza tray and spread the pizza dough roll over it.
  5. Pour the melted butter on it and spread it evenly on the base.
  6. Sprinkle red chili flakes with fennel seeds powder on the butter.
  7. Randomly arrange sliced capers with zucchini, roasted garlic and onion slices.
  8. Sprinkle lime juice, salt and ground pepper on top.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 10 minutes.
  10. Garnish with coriander sprigs and serve immediately.
