The seasoning used in these patties can change as per your preferences. You can easily keep these delicious raw patties in the refrigerator for up to two days. Delicious lentil and carrots patties

Enjoy this patty made with combining potato, carrots, and lentil with fresh herbs and spices to make tasty and light stuffing for your homemade burgers.

Servings: 6

  • 4 to 5 medium sized potatoes (boiled & mashed)
  • 1/4 cup carrots (finely chopped & parboiled)
  • 1/4 cup celery (finely chopped & parboiled)
  • 1/2 cup lentils (boiled & coarsely mashed)
  • 1 medium sized onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 green chilies (finely chopped)
  • 2 tsp roasted gram flour
  • pinch of ground pepper
  • pinch of paprika
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp roasted cumin seeds powder
  • refined oil for shallow frying
  • salt to taste


  1. Take a large bowl and add all the ingredients in it except refined oil.
  2. Mash and mix everything till all the ingredients are mixed well.
  3. Make patties from the base in your desired shape.
  4. Heat refined oil in a nonstick frying pan.
  5. Shallow fry patties from both sides till they're golden brown.
  6. Either stuff in your hamburgers or serve as it is with a spicy bowl of your favorite sauce.
