Tofu and Fish Fillets with Crispy Egg NoodlesThis complete meal is one of the favorites of my kids. This recipe has a lot of scope of experimenting and making different versions of the original one mentioned here. Addition of broccoli and baby corn can add more kick to this delicious preparation. If you're using normal whole wheat noodles instead of egg noodles, make sure you fry them quickly to avoid over cook burns. Local fish fillets can be used instead of using a specific variety though classic tofu is a must for this recipe. Do not refrigerate the leftovers of this recipe else the entire texture will get spoiled. The primary sauce used in this recipe is quite spicy and aromatic which can be toned down as per your taste. Spicy fish and tofu with egg noodles

Try this unique recipe made with crispy fried egg noodles which are topped with tangy and lip-smacking combination of fresh tofu and tender fish fillets.

Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking time: 30 minutes
Servings: 4

  • 250 gm tofu slices
  • 350 gm fish fillets
  • 200 gm egg noodles sheet
  • 4 tsp light soy sauce
  • 2 tsp sweet chili sauce
  • 3 tsp tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup vegetable stock
  • pinch of paprika
  • pinch of ground pepper
  • 1/4 tsp white sesame seeds
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1 garlic clove paste
  • refined oil for frying
  • salt to taste


  1. Heat 2 to 3 tsp refined oil in a nonstick frying pan.
  2. Lightly saute both tofu and fish fillets for about 3 to 4 minutes and keep aside.
  3. Heat 1 tsp oil in a wok.
  4. Add garlic clove paste with onion powder and saute for about a minute.
  5. Add vegetable stock and simmer for about 3 to 4 minutes.
  6. Add light soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, tomato puree, paprika, ground pepper and a pinch of salt in it.
  7. Mix with spatula and simmer the sauce till it reaches thick consistency.
  8. Add lightly fried tofu and fish fillets in the sauce and gently coat them with the sauce.
  9. Add sesame seeds and once stir again.
  10. Heat refined oil in a frying pan.
  11. Fry egg noodles sheet in it for about 1 to 2 minutes.
  12. Take a serving plate and carefully place the fried noodle sheet on it.
  13. Place a generous helping of sauce coated tofu and fish fillets.
  14. Pour the remaining sauce on top and serve immediately.
