Puffy potato and rosemary rolls

Enjoy these potato stuffed puffy rolls recipe which is baked to perfection and are flavored with fresh rosemary for an aromatic and lip-smacking taste.

Servings: 8

  • 2 cups all purpose wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup wheat bran (powdered)
  • 500 gm potatoes (parboiled and grated)
  • 1/4 tsp carom seeds (coarsely ground)
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds (coarsely ground)
  • 2 tsp dried rosemary leaves
  • pinch of baking powder
  • 2 tsp unsalted butter
  • pinch of ground pepper
  • 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • salt to taste


  1. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl except grated potatoes and ground pepper.
  2. Add some water and knead the flour with all the ingredients into firm roll dough.
  3. Keep aside for half an hour.
  4. Take another bowl and add grated potatoes, ground pepper and salt in it.
  5. Mix all the ingredients well and keep aside.
  6. Make small rolls from the dough and stuff seasoned and grated potatoes sealing them well from all the sides.
  7. Grease the baking tray and carefully place all the rolls in it.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 20 minutes.
  9. You can also brush some olive oil from top before baking them.
  10. Serve hot with a cup of strong coffee.
