
Caramelized Red Onion and Sausage Pizza

Do make this cheesy and fulfilling pizza which includes a topping of lightly caramelized red onions and loads of spicy sausages for extraordinary flavor.

Ingredients:
- 2 cups all purpose wheat flour
- 1/4 tsp yeast
- 2 big lamb sausages (sliced or diced in halves)
- 1 big red onion (diced in squares)
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 red bell pepper (diced)
- 1/2 tsp dried rosemary
- 1 tsp oregano powder
- 1 small tomato pulp
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
- 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
- salt to taste
Instructions:
- Take a nonstick fry pan and heat sugar with quarter cup water in it.
- Once the sugar is melted and it thickens (about 5 minutes), add diced red onion slices and caramelize for about 5 minutes.
- Drain extra sugar liquid and keep the caramelized onion slices aside.
- Sift flour for a minute and add yeast and a pinch of salt in it.
- Slowly add water and knead into nice pizza dough base.
- Keep the dough aside for half an hour.
- Meanwhile sprinkle olive oil on sausage pieces and keep aside.
- Grease the pizza baking tray and roll the pizza dough in it.
- Spread the grated mozzarella cheese on the base.
- Top it with caramelized onion, tomato pulp, bell pepper and sausage slices spreading them evenly on the cheese layer.
- Season with rosemary, oregano and paprika with a pinch of salt.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 250 degrees for about 8 minutes.
- Serve hot with your favorite beverage.
