Grilled Swordfish with Soy Sauce and Salad

Grilled Swordfish with Soy Sauce and SaladThis was the first time I made swordfish recipe and it came out quite nicely. Swordfish fillets are quite firm and taste great provided you grill them to perfection with a flavor-packed seasoning. I'll try a gravy based recipe with the same fillets some other day to see how it goes with it. Swordfish is good for your skin, hair, eyes, and bones so you can consume it throughout the year. I always advise changing the type of fish in case it is not available in your locality. But this time, I'll emphasize on using swordfish fillets to get the authentic taste of this preparation. Leftovers of this recipe can be included in a seafood preparation. Let's make this nutritious and aromatic fish recipe.

Tender swordfish fillets with soy sauce

Do make this swordfish fillet preparation which is grilled to perfection and is seasoned with peppery soy sauce and is served with fresh and tasty salad.

Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Servings: 4

  • 6 to 8 swordfish fillets
  • 5 to 6 tsp dark soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp oyster sauce
  • few drops of fish sauce
  • pinch of white pepper powder
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried herbs (powdered)
  • green onion leaves (finely chopped)
  • bunch of rocket lettuce (chopped)
  • small bunch of radicchio leaves
  • 5 to 6 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • salt to taste

  1. Take a large bowl and add dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, white pepper powder, garlic powder, dried herbs, olive oil and a pinch of salt in it.
  2. Whip it nicely for 2 or 3 minutes to ensure that all the ingredients all mixed well.
  3. Spread all the swordfish fillets in a tray and slowly pour the marinade on it.
  4. Apply it well on both sides of the fillets and keep aside for 10 minutes.
  5. You can either use a nonstick grill pan or can opt for microwave in grill mode.
  6. I've used the latter option to grill these fillets.
  7. Place all the fillets in a greasy grill tray and place in microwave in grill mode for about 6 to 8 minutes.
  8. While grilling you can pierce the fillets with a fork or needle to check if they're done or not.
  9. Place all the fillets in a serving plate and pour all the remaining marinade from top.
  10. Place chopped rocket lettuce and radicchio leaves salad on the side and garnish with chopped green onion leaves before serving.
