Spicy fried rice with beef mince

Do make this deliciously-fried rice preparation consisting of flavorful minced beef and boiled egg yolk which gives it a unique and mouthwatering taste.

Cooking time: 50 minutes
Servings: 5

  • 400 gm beef (coarsely ground)
  • 3 cups rice (soaked overnight)
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1/4 tsp white pepper powder
  • 1 green chili (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 cup Chinese cabbage (chopped)
  • 1 boiled egg yolk (coarsely mashed)
  • 1 tsp onion paste
  • 1/2 tsp lime juice
  • few drops of white vinegar
  • 3 tsp refined oil
  • salt to taste


  1. Take 1 liter water in a pressure cooker with 1/2 tsp of salt.
  2. Add beef mince in it and pressure cook for about 25 minutes.
  3. If there is some water left in the pressure cooker, drain it and keep the beef mince aside.
  4. Take a deep sauce pan and heat refined oil in it.
  5. Add ginger garlic paste and saute for a minute.
  6. Add onion paste and stir fry till it turns pink.
  7. Add chopped green chili with Chinese cabbage.
  8. Toss for half a minute and add cooked beef mince.
  9. Season with white pepper powder, white vinegar, lime juice and salt.
  10. Saute for about 4 to 5 minutes on a medium flame.
  11. Finally add rice with 5 cups of water.
  12. Cover the sauce pan lid and simmer for about 15 minutes.
  13. Just before serving, add egg yolk pieces and once toss well.
  14. Serve with spicy meat or vegetable stew.
