Today's recipe includes delicious beef stuffing with irresistible lasagne sheets. Instead of beef, you can also use minced mutton with some changes in the spices. Similarly, instead of feta cheese, you can also use normal processed cheese. This recipe is quite rich and heavy and should not be taken for breakfast. My niece prefers to stuff grilled fish instead of beef since it is light and fluffy. If lasagne sheets are not available, you can use cheesy pastry puffs. Leftovers of this preparation can be easily stuffed in regular sandwiches. So let's get started and make this delicious and fulfilling beef lasagne recipe.

Cheesy beef lasagne with cherry tomatoes

Make this unique preparation consisting of minced beef with delicious lasagna sheets which are flavored with hot spices and cheese for a divine texture.

Cooking time: 30 minutes
Servings: 4

  • 10 to 12 lasagne sheets
  • 600 gm beef (coarsely ground)
  • 250 gm cherry tomatoes (finely chopped)
  • 200 gm feta cheese (grated or mashed)
  • 1 tsp chili sauce
  • 100 gm onion (minced)
  • 5 to 6 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1" inch ginger piece (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper (coarsely ground)
  • 1/2 tsp oregano (coarsely ground)
  • 1/2 tsp fennel seeds powder
  • mint sprig for garnish
  • 6 to 8 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 5 to 6 tsp refined oil
  • salt to taste


  1. Heat refined oil in a deep sauce pan.
  2. Add minced ginger and garlic and saute for a minute.
  3. Add onion mince and stir fry till it turns light pink.
  4. Add tomatoes and feta cheese and toss for a minute.
  5. Add beef mince and season with chili sauce, black pepper, oregano, fennel seeds powder and salt.
  6. Saute for about 3 to 4 minutes and cover the lid.
  7. Switch the flame to low and simmer for about 10 minutes. Keep aside.
  8. Apply olive oil on all the lasagne sheets and arrange couple of sheets on a greased baking tray.
  9. Place a layer of semi cooked beef mince.
  10. Cover it with two more sheets of olive oil dipped lasagne sheets.
  11. Place second layer of beef mince above it.
  12. Finally top it with two more sheets of lasagne sheets.
  13. Pour leftover olive oil on top.
  14. Bake in preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 10 minutes.
  15. Garnish with mint sprig and serve hot.
