Vegan pizza with olives and mushrooms

Enjoy this delicious and unique pizza loaded with vegetables like capsicum, mushrooms and loads of olives with select flavoring ingredients for added flavor.

Servings: 6

  • 4 cups wheat flour
  • 1 egg yolk
  • pinch of baking powder
  • 1 cup mushrooms (thinly sliced)
  • 1/2 cup black olives (semi dried)
  • 1/2 cup green capsicum (thinly sliced)
  • 1/2 cup red capsicum (thinly sliced)
  • 1/2 cup condensed tomato puree
  • 1/4 tsp chili flakes
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper (coarsely ground)
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese (grated)
  • 1 tsp dried herbs (coarsely ground)
  • 2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • salt to taste


  1. Take a flat flour kneading pan and add wheat flour, egg yolk, baking powder, 2 tsp olive oil and a pinch of salt in it.
  2. Use lukewarm water and knead the mixture into soft pizza dough.
  3. Cover the dough with a muslin cloth and keep aside for an hour.
  4. Cut the olives into halves. If you prefer, you can shred them too.
  5. Roll a large pizza base from the kneaded dough prepared earlier.
  6. Pour and apply a thin layer of condensed tomato puree on the base.
  7. Arrange sliced mushroom over it followed by sliced capsicum.
  8. Finally season it with dried herbs, chili flakes, black pepper.
  9. Top it olives and grated Parmesan cheese ensuring the topping is covered well by it.
  10. Bake in a preheated oven at 250 degrees for about 10 minutes.
  11. Cut the hot pizza in your desired shape and serve immediately.
