The following recipe includes a spicy seasoning for the chicken wings to make them an ideal entry for a cocktail party. You can use the same ingredients for chicken breast or legs. The longer you keep the chicken wings in the spice coat; the better will be the result. Instead of grilling, you can also deep fry these chicken wings. In that case, add semolina or dried breadcrumbs within the spice mix to get a crunchy crust. To experiment with the flavor, you can subtract or add local spices in the ingredient list. And, as I always say, do not forget to serve such kind of recipes with an equally spicy and tangy sauce or dip.

Fiery grilled chicken wings with pepper sauce

Make these fiery chicken wings grilled on a charcoal fire and seasoned with peppery sauce consisting of select spices to induce magnificent flavor in the wings.

Cooking time: 15 minutes
Servings: 5

  • 850 gm chicken wings
  • 1 tsp red chili paste
  • 2 tsp light soy sauce
  • pinch of black pepper powder
  • pinch of white pepper powder
  • pinch of garlic powder
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • 1/4 tsp Chinese black vinegar
  • fresh coriander for garnishing
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • salt to taste


  1. Make few cuts in each chicken wing from a sharp knife.
  2. Take a bowl and add chili paste, light soy sauce, black pepper powder, white pepper powder, garlic powder, lime juice, Chinese black vinegar and salt in it.
  3. Now pour 1/4 cup olive oil in it and mix all the ingredients well with a spoon.
  4. Pour this marinade on the chicken wings and apply it well with your hands.
  5. Prepare a charcoal grill on a medium heat.
  6. Place all the spicy chicken wings on the grill.
  7. Grill from all the sides for at least 6 minutes each.
  8. Brush with olive oil, if required.
  9. Garnish with chopped fresh coriander and serve hot with a tangy sauce bowl.
