Leftovers of these eggs can be slightly sautéed with spring onions and bells peppers to prepare a delicious serving accompanying piping hot butter toasts.

Scrumptious deviled eggs with cheese

Quickly make these yummy deviled eggs which are boiled to perfection with a cheesy and seasoned yolk further enhanced with sweet paprika for a unique flavor.

Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 12 minutes
Servings: 10

  • 10 to 12 fresh eggs
  • 1/2 cup processed cheese (grated)
  • pinch of white pepper powder
  • pinch of sugar
  • pinch of rock salt (finely powdered)
  • paprika for garnishing


  1. First make sure eggs are at room temperature.
  2. Take 1/2 liter of water in a sauce pan and carefully arrange all the eggs in it.
  3. Ensure that all the eggs touch the surface of the pan.
  4. Sprinkle 1/2 tsp of common salt on top and cover the pan lid.
  5. Place the sauce pan on a very low flame.
  6. When water starts boiling, remove the lid and switch the flame to medium.
  7. After 5 minutes switch off the flame and immediately take out all the eggs.
  8. Place them under running chilled water for abut a minute.
  9. Peel all the eggs and cut them into two equal halves.
  10. Take out egg yolks from each piece in a bowl.
  11. Add grated cheese and sift it well with a spatula until both the ingredients are mixed well forming a smooth paste.
  12. Season it with sugar, rock salt and white pepper powder. Mix it well again for a minute.
  13. Arrange empty egg white shells in a serving plate.
  14. Fill each one of them with a scoopful of seasoned egg yolks.
  15. Garnish with paprika and serve immediately.
