And if your breakfast platter is loaded with several scrumptious servings, nothing can be better than that. The following recipe more or less resembles a typical English breakfast. There are dozens of varieties of sausages available in different parts of the world. Hence, you can opt for the best local version which is readily available in your kitchen. I've used a generous amount of oregano for the scrambled eggs which made them extremely delicious. Instead of using regular butter, you can also use peanut butter topped with hot toasted bread. One can liberally use allspice or dried mix herbs for this preparation to get the best results.

Spicy sausages with scrambled eggs

Enjoy this delicious combination of buttery toasts served with spicy sausages and flavored scrambled eggs which make a complete and fulfilling breakfast.

Servings: 4

  • 5 to 6 chicken or lamb sausages
  • 6 eggs
  • 10 garlic bread slices
  • 4 to 6 sun dried cherry tomatoes
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper (coarsely ground)
  • 5 to 6 tsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 tsp dried herbs
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • pinch of clove powder
  • chopped coriander for garnishing
  • 4 to 5 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • salt to taste


  1. Slice sausages in equal parts and saute them evenly on both sides with a teaspoon of olive oil.
  2. Take a bowl and break all eggs in it.
  3. Add black pepper, dried herbs, oregano, clove powder and salt in it.
  4. Whip it briskly for about 2 minutes.
  5. Heat 3 to 4 tsp olive oil in a shallow nonstick frying pan.
  6. Pour seasoned beaten eggs in it and stir briskly till they're scrambled well.
  7. Saute for about 3 minutes and switch off the flame.
  8. Add cherry tomatoes in the same pan and saute for about 3 to 4 minutes. Keep aside.
  9. Toast garlic bread with a teaspoon of olive oil.
  10. Arrange sausage pieces in a serving plate.
  11. Place scrambled eggs beside them and garnish them with sautéed cherry tomatoes.
  12. Top toasted bread with a scoop of unsalted butter and place in the serving plate.
  13. Garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot.
