If you want to omit the cheese, you can replace it with condensed sour cream. You must consume these cauliflower bits the same day as they may leave moisture if refrigerated for a long time. Scrumptious cheesy cauliflower fritters

Enjoy these yummy and so cheesy shredded cauliflower fritters for tea time which are spiced up with select herbs and hot spices giving it a nice texture.

Servings: 5

  • 600 gm cauliflower (grated)
  • 150 gm processed cheese (melted)
  • 1/2 cup almond meal
  • 3 to 4 garlic cloves (mashed)
  • 1/2 cup chives (finely chopped)
  • 1 egg (whipped)
  • 1/4 tsp white pepper powder
  • 1 tsp dried herbs
  • pinch of paprika
  • canola oil for deep frying
  • salt to taste


  1. Take a large glass bowl and add shredded cauliflower in it.
  2. Add melted cheese and mix it well such that it is absorbed well by the cauliflower pieces.
  3. Immediately add almond meal with beaten egg and mix thoroughly with a wooden spatula.
  4. Add chives, mashed garlic, white pepper powder, dried herbs, paprika and salt.
  5. Mix it again for at least 3 to 4 minutes till all the ingredients are intermixed well.
  6. Heat canola oil in a deep frying pan.
  7. Once the oil is heated, bring down the flame to medium.
  8. Make round bites of cauliflower batter and fry them till they are light brown.
  9. If you don't prefer fried version, you can also bake them in a preheated oven for about 5 minutes at 250 degrees.
  10. Serve hot with tomato ketchup at the tea time.
