You can also mix cottage cheese with mashed potatoes used in this recipe. I've only used coriander but fresh mint leaves can be included as well. If you want to make a bit spicy version of these stuffed tortillas, you can add some crushed black pepper in the stuffing. These tortillas can also be baked in an oven to make an oil-free version. Try out these mashed potato stuffed tortillas preparation flavored with fresh cilantro and served with spicy and tangy pickle for your breakfast table.

Cooking time: 30 minutes
Servings: 12

  • 400 gm large potatoes
  • bunch of coriander leaves (chopped)
  • 3 cups wheat flour
  • 5 to 6 tsp olive oil
  • salt to taste


  1. Wash all the potatoes well under running water.
  2. Boil them in water for about 10 to 15 minutes.
  3. Peel all the boiled potatoes and mash them in a bowl with a spatula.
  4. Add salt and chopped coriander in mashed potatoes and mix well.
  5. Add salt in wheat flour and make dough with lukewarm water.
  6. Make small patties of dough and stuff potato mash in it.
  7. Fold the patty and make stuffed tortillas.
  8. Heat a shallow frying pan.
  9. Shallow fry tortillas from both sides by applying olive oil on both sides.
  10. Serve hot with tea or coffee.
