
Spicy Cottage Cheese with Herbs and Cilantro

Ingredients:
- 400 gm fresh cottage cheese
- 5 tsp onion paste
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp dried mint leaves (crushed)
- bunch of cilantro (finely chopped)
- 1/2 tsp red chili flakes
- 1/2 cup fresh cream
- 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
- 1/2 tsp roasted cumin seeds (coarsely ground)
- 2 green chilies (blended into paste)
- 1 tsp lime juice
- pinch of nutmeg powder
- 1 tomato puree
- pinch of cinnamon powder
- 5 tsp cooking oil
- salt to taste
Instructions:
- Cut cheese into slices and keep aside.
- Take a large wok and heat 5 tsp oil.
- Add onion and green chili paste and saute for about 3 minutes.
- Add ginger garlic paste and tomato puree and stir fry on a high flame for about 2 more minutes.
- Bring down the flame to medium and add fresh cream, black pepper powder, roasted cumin seeds and chili flakes.
- Saute for about 2 more minutes.
- Add cottage cheese and stir fry for about a minute.
- Add lime juice, nutmeg powder and cinnamon powder.
- Add half a cup of water and fry for two more minutes.
- Add dried mint leaves, chopped cilantro and salt.
- Mix well and cover the lid.
- Simmer for about 5 minutes and bring down from the flame.
- Serve hot with steamed rice or garlic bread.
