Baked Apples with Pecan Nuts and Mushroom Stuffing

Baked Apples with Pecan Nuts and Mushroom StuffingNormally apples are not used as a base for stuffing. But they can be extremely delicious if topped with a crunchy and nutritious filling. That's what I've done in this recipe. I've taken yellow apples (green apples can also be used) for this preparation. One of the important ingredients of this stuffing is pecan nut. If it is not available in your area, you can easily replace them with walnuts. While purchasing apples for this recipe make sure you select hard and raw apples. This helps them keep in shape while baking with the stuffing. You can serve these stuffed apples as a starter or you can use them for breakfast. You must consume these stuffed apples on the same day as it cannot be kept for a very long time.
