Baked broccoli casserole with pastaNowadays I try to include broccoli in lot of preparations. I'm trying it in soups, main course dishes, and salads. This time, it's a baked pasta and broccoli recipe that was finished within 15 minutes from our dinner table. It's not only delicious but is fulfilling at the same time. I've used penne pasta for this recipe which can be replaced by your favorite alternative. Do not refrigerate this recipe as it tastes best when eaten hot and fresh. You can also add peas and carrots to this recipe if you want to make it more colorful. In my first attempt, I was not able to bake it well, so pay special attention to the baking time and temperature while cooking this yummy recipe. Cheesy and flavorful baked broccoli

Try this delicious combination of fresh broccoli, penne pasta, and fresh parsley slow cooked in baked format to give you a fulfilling and wholesome meal.

Preparation Time: 35 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Servings: 4

  • 400 gm broccoli
  • 250 gm penne pasta
  • 1/2 cup processed cheese (shredded)
  • 2 cloves garlic (finely minced)
  • 1/2" ginger piece (finely chopped)
  • 5-6 black pepper seeds (coarsely ground)
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/4 tsp dried oregano
  • bunch of fresh parsley (finely chopped)
  • 3 tsp olive oil
  • salt to taste


  1. Soak pasta for 1/2 hour in lukewarm water.
  2. Cut broccoli in 1 inch pieces and washes them well.
  3. Heat olive oil in a frying pan.
  4. Add ginger and garlic and saute for 2 minutes.
  5. Add both pasta and broccoli and stir well.
  6. Add thyme, oregano and coarsely ground black pepper.
  7. Stir well and saute for about 3 minutes.
  8. Add little salt, mix it well and remove from the flame.
  9. Grease a microwave proof baking dish.
  10. Arrange the pasta and broccoli mix and sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  11. Add parsley and bake it in preheated oven (180 degrees) for about 8 minutes.
  12. Serve hot with your favorite stew or sauce.
