Grilled potatoesWhenever season comes, I love to experiment with new potatoes. They taste great and cook very quickly. Roasted or grilled potatoes tend to develop a unique taste that you cannot experience with boiled or generally cooked potatoes. They taste best with herbs seasoned with fresh spices. This one is a quick recipe that you can enjoy in your lawn or yard with your family. All we need is a charcoal grill, fresh potatoes, some herbs and select spices. Whenever I make this recipe, my neighbor always complain about the irresistible aroma that brings them down to my doorstep. One should only use fresh small potatoes for this recipe. Using frozen and large size potatoes is like killing this recipe altogether. So without wasting the time anymore, let's get ready to make this tasty and light recipe that is light and nourishing at the same time.

Grilled Potatoes with Pepper and Rosemary

Flavorful grilled potatoes

Try this fresh new season small potatoes flavored with herbs and spices and grilled on a charcoal fire to give you a nice and irresistible aroma and flavor.

Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking time: 8 minutes
Servings: 5

  • 500 gm small new potatoes
  • 1/5 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1/4 tsp oregano
  • sea salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • half a bunch of fresh rosemary (chopped)


  1. Wash potatoes thoroughly under running cold water.
  2. Cut each potato in 4 equal pieces.
  3. Apply olive oil on all the pieces.
  4. Sprinkle sea salt and mix well.
  5. Cover the bowl with aluminum foil and keep it for 15 minutes.
  6. Prepare your charcoal grill with medium heat.
  7. Add all the spices and herbs to the bowl and mix well.
  8. Immediately place all the potatoes on the grill.
  9. Turn them on all sides till light brown. Apply olive oil, if required.
  10. Serve hot with your favorite dipping or sauce.
