The following chicken wings recipe is a quick and easy preparation one can make any time of the day. We've used Chinese five spice powder though you're free to use the local variant of the same. If a grill is not available, pan-fry these wings on a medium flame. Though chicken breast can also be used with the same seasoning, I'll strongly recommend sticking with the wings to get the best possible authentic flavor. It can be served both as a starter and as a main course entry. One can also add cayenne pepper to add a bit more fire in the flavor. If you're going to char-grill them, nothing can be better than that. You can serve these wings with your preferred dip or sauce. Let's quickly make these hot chicken wings.

Grilled Five-Spice Chicken Wings

Savor these delicious, hot, and irresistible chicken wings which are seasoned with select spices and are grilled to perfection for an aromatic flavor.

Cooking time: 8 minutes

Ingredients:
  • 24 chicken wings (wing tip section removed)
  • 2 tbsp Chinese five-spice powder
  • 1 tsp fish sauce
  • 2 tsp light soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tsp fresh lime juice
  • few drops of sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp rice wine
  • few coriander leaves (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Take a large bowl and add chicken wings in it.
  2. Add all other ingredients in the bowl except coriander leaves.
  3. Gently toss and mix all the ingredients and make sure the flavorful marinade is coated well on the chicken wings.
  4. Seal the bowl with an aluminum foil and refrigerate for at least half an hour.
  5. Prepare a wood or charcoal grill with medium intensity.
  6. Grill all the marinated chicken wings on it for approx. 4 minutes each side.
  7. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve immediately.
