Do make these delicious and irresistible crab meatballs which are flavored with select spices and are deep fried for a crisp and mouthwatering shell.

Cooking time: 12 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients:
  • 500 gm crab meat (minced)
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 large egg (whipped)
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 medium-sized white onion (finely minced)
  • small bunch of coriander leaves (finely chopped)
  • 1 cup dried breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 3/4 tsp prepared mustard
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • lettuce, cucumber juliennes, red chili & coriander sprigs (for garnish/optional)
  • canola oil (for deep frying)
  • salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Take a large bowl and add crab meat in it.
  2. Add Worcestershire sauce, whipped egg, mayonnaise, ground black pepper, minced white onion, finely chopped coriander leaves, garlic powder, prepared mustard, and salt in the bowl.
  3. Combine everything well and prepare meatballs with your hands.
  4. Arrange them in a plate and refrigerate for at least an hour.
  5. Season dried breadcrumbs with paprika and salt. Keep aside.
  6. Heat canola oil on a medium-high flame.
  7. Roll meatballs in seasoned breadcrumbs and fry them in batches till they turn golden brown.
  8. Arrange lettuce, cucumber juliennes, red chili juliennes, and coriander sprigs on a serving plate.
  9. Place hot meatballs on the bed of garnish.
  10. Serve immediately with your favorite dip or sauce.
