Whenever I make tarts, I personally never get the chance to taste them on the table. Therefore, I taste quickly as soon as they cool down on the rack. Today's pineapple tart recipe is made with a handful of ingredients yet taste so good. Though I've used ready-made pineapple jam for this one, making one at home can enhance the flavor of this tart. You can use the same process for preparing tarts using different types of fruit jams. Feel free the give your preferred shape to the tarts. The more creative you get, the more praise awaits you at the serving table. I just can't wait to share the recipe of this simple yet mouth-watering tart recipe. Easy Pineapple Tarts Recipe

Delicious pineapple tarts

Do try these flavorful pineapple tarts which are baked to perfection and goes well with tea, coffee or with any non-alcoholic beverage of your choice.

Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Servings: 25 servings

Ingredients:
  • 1-1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup self-raising flour
  • 1/5 tsp salt
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 1 egg yolk (beaten)
  • 2 cups pineapple jam
  • 175 gm butter
  • cold water (as per requirement)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven at 180 °C.
  2. Sift all-purpose flour, self-raising flour and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Add butter in it and continuously mix everything with a fork till all the lumps are removed.
  4. Add whipped egg yolk and cold water in the dough and knead till you get a nice and soft pastry dough base.
  5. Wrap it in a plastic sheet and refrigerate for at least 45 minutes.
  6. On a board, roll the pastry dough with 1 or 1.5 cm thickness through a rolling pin.
  7. Use a tart mould or a food-safe metal ring to cut out the pastry base.
  8. Place all tart bases on a lightly greased baking tray and brush lightly with whipped egg on top.
  9. Bake for about 7 to 8 minutes.
  10. Take out from the oven and place small pineapple jam balls on top of each of the half-baked pastry.
  11. Make thin dough strips from the leftover dough and make a star structure as shown in the recipe image.
  12. Once again, brush the strips with whipped egg.
  13. Bake again for about 7 to 8 minutes.
  14. Take out from the oven and place on the rack till it reaches the room temperature.
  15. Serve with tea or coffee.
