Garfish is one of my favorite fish varieties I love to cook for my family. It has a unique taste and is nutritious too. The following recipe can be easily prepared in a record time and is ideal for your weekend cocktail party. You can freely experiment with the seasoning as I've used a very basic one with limited number of ingredients. For best results, keep the seasoned fish overnight in a refrigerator. Instead of grilling, you can deep fry too. Serve it with spicy cilantro or mint dip with a platter of fresh salad. Right before serving, you can also squeeze fresh lime juice on top for added flavor. Let's quickly prepare this easy-to-make and extremely delicious grilled fish recipe for our family and friends.

Spicy grilled garfish

Try this light and delicious grilled garfish recipe which is seasoned with elementary ingredients and is cooked to perfection on a hot grill for a yummy flavor.

Preparation Time: 25 minutes
Cooking time: 6 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients:
  • 15 garfish (cleaned & washed)
  • ground pepper (for seasoning)
  • 2 to 3 tsp lime juice
  • salt to taste
  • cilantro sprig (for garnish)
  • 3 to 4 tsp olive oil

Instructions:

  1. Take a small bowl and add ground pepper, lime juice, salt and olive oil in it.
  2. Whip all the ingredients for a minute and pour on the fish.
  3. Apply the tangy marinade well on all the fishes with your hands.
  4. Keep aside for at least 15 minutes.
  5. Grill on a charcoal fire for 3 minutes each side.
  6. Garnish with cilantro sprig and serve immediately.
