Spaghetti is another versatile eatable that is often made in different ways. Regular spaghetti can be easily served with different flavorful companions like we've done today. Poached salmon always tastes great and when combined with classic spaghetti, it simply rocks. As always, you are free to innovate and make modifications in this recipe. For example, grilled salmon fillets in shredded form can be included in the spaghetti. Vegetarians can replace salmon with barbecued broccoli or sweet potatoes. Salmon with spaghetti

Try this unique and flavorful preparation made with poached salmon fillet topped on delicious spaghetti which makes it a complete and fulfilling meal.

Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking time: 25 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients:
  • 3 to 4 salmon fillets
  • 250 gm spaghetti
  • 50 gm pickled capers
  • 5 to 6 cherry tomatoes (chopped)
  • 2 to 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 small onion (minced)
  • pinch of ground pepper
  • 1 tsp white wine
  • rock salt granules
  • 3 tsp butter
  • oodles of extra virgin olive oil
  • salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Add 1 tsp salt and 2 tsp of olive oil in about 2 liters of water and bring it to a boil on a medium flame.
  2. Add spaghetti and gently stir in boiling water for about 6 to 8 minutes.
  3. Drain all the water and keep the spaghetti aside.
  4. Take a large nonstick pan and fill it just up to the level salmon fillets are dipped.
  5. Add white wine and rock salt granules in it.
  6. Heat it on a very low flame and carefully place all the salmon fillets in the hot water.
  7. Sprinkle capers, cherry tomatoes, garlic cloves, onion, ground pepper and butter on top of the salmon fillets that is out of the water.
  8. Keep the flame low and let the fillets cook in the water for about 15 minutes on a low flame.
  9. Take a serving bowl or plate and place a generous helping of cooked spaghetti in it.
  10. Place poached salmon fillet on top of it and serve immediately.
