Noodles are so versatile that they either can be included in a rich and spicy recipe or can be made standalone with a simple and subtle flavor. We're going to try out the latter version that's not only light on stomach but tastes great too. To get the best results, only use whole wheat egg noodles else you may not be able to relish the dish. Though I have kept the flavor quite mild, you can freely add more punch in this recipe by adding some sharp seasoning ingredients. Broccoli or shredded chicken chunks can also be added in these noodles. Make and serve these noodles hot as the refrigerated version tends to get moist. Peppery whole wheat egg noodles

Relish this easy-to-make and fulfilling egg noodles preparation made from whole wheat and flavored with sharp and zingy ingredients for an aromatic taste.

Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Servings: 3

Ingredients:
  • 200 gm whole wheat egg noodles
  • 3 cups chicken or vegetable stock
  • pinch of white pepper powder
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • pinch of paprika
  • few drops of sesame oil
  • few drops of apple vinegar
  • 1 tsp peanut oil
  • salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Add a pinch of salt in stock and bring it to a boil.
  2. Lower the flame and gently add noodles.
  3. Carefully stir it and boil for about 5 to 6 minutes.
  4. Drain all the stock and keep the noodles aside.
  5. Heat peanut oil in a wok.
  6. Add boiled noodles and season with white pepper powder, garlic powder, paprika, sesame oil, apple vinegar and a pinch of salt.
  7. Toss and saute for about 5 to 6 minutes.
  8. Serve hot with a spicy sauce.
