I can cook salted chicken in different ways. Though we use very few seasoning ingredients in this preparation, the results are surprising. Cooking this recipe requires little bit of experience but you can easily get the hold of the cooking process the very first time you try it. This tasty chicken can be kept for up to two days sealed with aluminum foil. Use tender small chicken fowl to get the best results. Needless to say, rock salt is one of the most important ingredients of this recipe. Baking in charcoal based oven can elevate the flavor of this recipe. If you cannot resist, you can add some dried herbs or chili flakes in this chicken preparation. Let's quickly bake this excellent serving for our loved ones.

Baked salty chicken

Enjoy this unique and simple chicken recipe which is slow cooked on low heat and flavored with select ingredients for a light, subtle and aromatic flavor.

Preparation Time: 40 minutes
Cooking time: 30 minutes
Servings: 6

Ingredients:
  • 3 pounds tender chicken (chopped)
  • 30 gm rock salt (slightly crushed)
  • few drops of sesame oil
  • few drops of white vinegar
  • pinch of garlic powder
  • 2 tsp peanut oil
  • chopped green onion leaves (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Take a large bowl and add chicken pieces in it.
  2. Add rock salt, sesame oil white vinegar, garlic powder and peanut oil in it.
  3. Apply all the ingredients well on the chicken pieces and seal the bowl with aluminum foil.
  4. Keep aside for at least half an hour.
  5. Grease a baking tray with peanut or olive oil and place all the salted chicken pieces in it.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onion leaves and serve hot.
