The following baked salmon is crispy as well as flavorsome from outside and moist from inside. Avoid using frozen salmon to get the best results. And, if you have a traditional oven, it will come out nicely. It's ideal both for a main course entry and for serving in a cocktail party. The same ingredients and preparation method can be used for any sea fish. Do not forget to use lime with it as it adds more punch in the salmon preparations. Spicy baked salmon fillets with crispy coating

Enjoy these flavorful and baked salmon fillets topped with a crispy crust made with dried breadcrumbs, herbs and select spices for a mouth watering flavor.

Preparation Time: 25 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Servings: 6

Ingredients:
  • 3 pounds salmon fillets
  • 1 cup dried breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup semolina
  • bunch of parsley (finely minced)
  • 3 to 4 tsp lime juice
  • 2 tsp dried herbs (coarsely powdered)
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • pinch of paprika
  • pinch of black salt (optional)
  • oodles of extra virgin olive oil
  • salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. If you cannot find salmon in the local market, use red snapper fillets to get the best results.
  2. Take a sharp fork and pierce the fillets from top.
  3. Pour lime juice on all the fillets applying them well on the surface. Keep aside for 10 minutes.
  4. Take a bowl and add dried breadcrumbs, semolina, parsley, dried herbs, black pepper, paprika, black salt, salt and olive oil in it.
  5. Mix all the ingredients well with a spoon.
  6. Add a layer of this flavored breadcrumb mixture on top of the fillets.
  7. Grease a baking tray with olive oil and place all the salmon fillets in gaps.
  8. Grill in a preheated oven at 250 degrees for about 10 minutes.
  9. Fish fillets are quite tender and cook very quickly so make sure you do not overcook them.
  10. Serve hot with a spicy sauce.
