The combination of meatballs and spaghetti is quite popular across the world and we can find different variants of this recipe. Today's preparation includes flavorful meatballs served with hot spaghetti. I've kept the flavor mild that'll remain on your taste buds for long time. Instead of spaghetti, you can also use your favorite pasta. You can make slight changes in the tomato sauce base to make it bit more spicy. Usage of breadcrumbs and fennel powder gives a unique texture and flavor to the meatballs. Make sure you serve this recipe piping hot as it tastes best when steam is coming out of it. Lets' quickly make these tasty meatballs with equally delicious hot spaghetti and tomato sauce.

Fiery meatballs with slippery spaghetti

Do try this spicy and fulfilling meal consisting of flavored beef meatballs served with slippery spaghetti when it’s piping hot to satisfy hungry taste buds.

Cooking time: 35 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients:
  • 500 gm beef (minced)
  • 1/2 cup dried breadcrumbs
  • 200 gm onion (minced)
  • 100 gm parsley (finely chopped)
  • 400 gm tomatoes (coarsely mashed)
  • 10 to 12 basil leaves (finely chopped)
  • 2 to 3 whole red chilies (sliced)
  • 250 gm spaghetti
  • 1/4 tsp white pepper powder
  • 25 gm fennel seeds powder
  • pinch of black pepper powder
  • 5 to 6 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • canola oil for deep frying
  • salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Take a large bowl and add minced beef in it.
  2. Add dried breadcrumbs, minced onion, chopped parsley, fennel seeds powder, white pepper powder and salt in the bowl.
  3. Mix all the ingredients well with the spoon and make medium sized meatballs. Keep aside.
  4. Heat olive oil in a nonstick frying pan.
  5. Add sliced red chilies in it and saute for about 2 minutes.
  6. Add tomatoes and stir fry for a minute.
  7. Season with basil leaves, black pepper powder and salt.
  8. Mash the tomato sauce for about 2 minutes on a low flame.
  9. Add 1/4th cup of water and stir well. Close the lid and simmer for about 5 minutes.
  10. Heat canola oil in a deep frying pan.
  11. Switch the flame to medium and deep fry all the meatballs till they turn light brown. Keep aside.
  12. Boil 800 ml water in a deep sauce pan and add spaghetti in it.
  13. Stir it on a medium flame for about 3 to 4 minutes.
  14. Drain all the water and keep the spaghetti aside.
  15. Add fried meatballs in the tomato sauce.
  16. Take a serving plate and place generous amount of hot spaghetti on it.
  17. Top it with tomato sauce coated meatballs and serve hot.
