Enjoy this spicy and delicious chicken breast preparation which is delicately flavored with sesame seeds and Szechwan peppers in a balanced proportion.

Ingredients:
  • 900 gm chicken breast
  • 1 tsp Szechuan peppercorns (roasted)
  • 1/2 tsp sesame seeds
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds powder (roasted)
  • 100 gm onion (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper (coarsely ground)
  • 1/4 cup spring onions (chopped)
  • 4 tsp refined oil
  • salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Coarsely ground roasted Szechuan peppercorns and keep aside.
  2. Pierce chicken breasts slightly with a fork.
  3. Apply lime juice and salt on them and keep aside.
  4. Take a wok and heat refined oil in it.
  5. Switch the flame to medium and add chopped onions.
  6. Saute till the onions turn light brown.
  7. Add ginger garlic paste and stir fry for about 2 minutes.
  8. Add chicken breast and season with Szechuan pepper powder, black pepper powder, dark soy sauce and a pinch of salt.
  9. Saute on a high flame for about 3 to 4 minutes.
  10. Add quarter cup of water and close the lid.
  11. Simmer for about 10 minutes and add sesame seeds, cumin seeds powder and chopped spring onions.
  12. Once stir gently and switch off the flame.
  13. Serve hot with your favorite bread.
