Lemony and peppery grilled prawns

Do try this easy-to-make and tasty grilled prawn preparation which includes subtle flavors of lemon and peppers giving an awesome taste to the fresh prawns.

Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 8 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients:
  • 500 gm prawns
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 10 gm white pepper powder
  • 4 tsp fresh lime juice
  • 4 garlic cloves (mashed)
  • 1/2 tsp light soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp fish sauce
  • 1/2 tsp dried herbs (coarsely ground)
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds powder
  • cucumber (for garnish)
  • 6 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Take a large bowl adding all the prawns in it.
  2. Except cucumber, add all the ingredients in the bowl.
  3. Mix everything well with your hands such that the spicy marinade is applied well on every prawn.
  4. Refrigerate these prawns overnight.
  5. Prepare a charcoal grill with medium heat. You can also grill these prawns in an electric oven.
  6. Place all the spicy prawns on the grill.
  7. Grill them from all the sides for 3 minutes each.
  8. During the grilling process, pour the leftovers of the marinade.
  9. Arrange hot grilled prawns in the center of the serving plate.
  10. Garnish with sliced cucumber and serve hot with a tangy sauce.
