Fiery grilled calamari with soy sauce

Enjoy this easy-to-make and delicious calamari recipe which is grilled on charcoal fire and is seasoned with hot peppers and soy sauce in a balanced way.

Cooking time: 10 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients:
  • 600 gm calamari (chopped)
  • 4 tsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tsp chili sauce
  • 1/4 tsp fish sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves (mashed)
  • few drops of sesame oil
  • 2 tsp lime juice
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper (coarsely ground)
  • cilantro (for garnish)
  • 6 tsp olive oil
  • salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. While chopping the calamari, make sure you cut even slices.
  2. Take a bowl and add dark soy sauce, chili sauce, fish sauce, mashed garlic, sesame oil, lime juice, black pepper, olive oil and salt in it.
  3. Mix everything well with a spoon.
  4. Pour it over sliced calamari pieces and apply it well.
  5. Heat a charcoal grill on a high flame.
  6. Grill seasoned calamari from both the sides for 4 minutes each.
  7. During the grilling process, pour the leftover marinade over pieces.
  8. Place the hot grilled calamari in a serving plate.
  9. Garnish with cilantro and serve immediately.
