Generally people prefer steamed dumplings in Asian subcontinent. The following dumpling recipe is fried and is filled with delicious beef stuffing which includes pungent spices. Use coarsely grounded beef mince to get the best results. If you do not prefer deep fried food, you can prepare the steamed version from the ingredients. Vegetarians can use the combination of broccoli and mushrooms replacing the beef mince altogether. Do not forget to serve these tasty dumplings with a hot chili sauce. Since they are fried, you can refrigerate them for up to a day. Before serving hot, pinch them or make a cut to let the hot steam escape. Spicy beef mince stuffed dumplings

Do once try these easy-to-make beef mince dumplings which are deep fried are stuffed with flavorful and delicately seasoned beef meat to fulfill your tummy.

Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking time: 30 minutes
Servings: 5

Ingredients:
  • 18 wonton wrappers
  • 500 gm beef mince
  • 3 green chilies (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 cup celery (chopped)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder (coarsely ground)
  • 1 tsp oyster sauce
  • few drops of malt vinegar
  • few mint leaves (finely chopped)
  • pinch of cinnamon powder
  • refined oil for shallow frying
  • salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Cook beef mince in a pressure cooker for about 12 minutes after the first whistle with 1 liter of water.
  2. Drain excess water from the mince.
  3. Take the cooked beef mince in a large bowl.
  4. Add green chilies, celery, black pepper powder, oyster sauce, malt vinegar, mint leaves, cinnamon powder and salt in it.
  5. Mix all the ingredients well within mince with a spatula.
  6. Stuff beef mince in wonton wrappers and seal them well.
  7. Heat refined oil in a shallow frying pan.
  8. Switch the flame to medium and fry all the dumplings till they turn light brown.
  9. Serve hot with a tangy or spicy sauce.
