Light crepes taste best when they're accompanied with an exotic sweet sauce. Today's recipe contains lots of fruity flavor for your taste buds. Including honey and cinnamon powder in crepes base gives them a unique flavor that's quite different from the classic variant. Make sure you do not overcook these crepes to keep the texture soft and moist. This recipe tastes great both in cold and hot form. The consistency of fruity sauce is very important. Instead of orange and strawberry, you can use your favorite combination to give this recipe a different twist. I prefer to consume this dessert when it's hot though my kids love it in refrigerated form. Let's make this delicious and irresistible dessert.

Fruity crepes

Make this moist, fruity and crisp sweet dish which includes light crepes drenched in flavored fruity sauce which gives it a lip smacking flavor quite easily.

Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Cooking time: 40 minutes
Servings: 8

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups refined wheat flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tsp honey
  • pinch of cinnamon powder
  • 200 gm orange pulp
  • 200 gm strawberry pulp
  • 100 gm powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • sliced strawberries (for garnish)
  • pinch of salt
  • refined oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. Add wheat flour, milk, eggs, honey, cinnamon powder and salt in a blender container.
  2. Add 1/2 cup of cold water and blend all the ingredients into a smooth batter with thin consistency.
  3. Take a flat nonstick pan and grease it with refined oil.
  4. Pour a scoopful of batter and tilt the pan round to spread it evenly across the base.
  5. Let it fry for about 2 minutes from one side.
  6. Flip to other side and fry for 2 more minutes.
  7. Fry all the crepes in a similar fashion and keep aside.
  8. Take a deep sauce pan and add orange and strawberry pulp in it.
  9. Add powdered sugar with maple syrup.
  10. Put the pan on a very low flame and stir it continuously for about 15 minutes.
  11. Let it cool and filter it through a thin mesh to get the smooth sauce.
  12. Take a serving plate and arrange 4 to 5 crepes in between.
  13. Pour generous amount of orange and strawberry sauce on top.
  14. Place sliced strawberries above it and serve immediately.
