This following recipe is a fusion of classic spaghetti and a typical seafood preparation. The spices and sauce base used in this recipe is quite hot and must be balanced according to your taste. If you don't like crab, you can easily replace it with a red snapper. Remember, the overall quantity of spaghetti is not overwhelming in this recipe. You can serve sweet and sour soup with this recipe to complete the menu. Instead of spaghetti, you can use some other pasta that's relished by your family members. Delicious crab with spicy spaghetti

Enjoy this scrumptious crab recipe which is made with spicy spaghetti and is flavored with saffron and aromatic spices which gives it an amazing flavor.

Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking time: 30 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients:
  • 500 gm crab meat
  • 250 gm spaghetti
  • 1/2 cup tomato puree
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Thai curry paste
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 2 green chili paste
  • pinch of paprika
  • pinch of black pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp fish sauce
  • few drops of sesame oil
  • basil for garnishing
  • oodles of extra virgin olive oil
  • salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Boil spaghetti in one liter of water for about 5 minutes on a low flame.
  2. Drain all the water and spread the spaghetti on a flat plate.
  3. Sprinkle generous amount of extra virgin olive oil on top and gently mix with a fork.
  4. Once olive oil is applied well on the boiled spaghetti, keep it aside in a bowl.
  5. Heat 5 to 6 tsp of olive oil in a wok.
  6. Add ginger garlic paste and saute for about a minute.
  7. Add Thai curry paste and lower the flame.
  8. Stir fry for 2 minutes and add green chili paste with crab meat.
  9. Add black pepper powder, soy sauce, fish sauce, sesame oil, paprika and salt.
  10. Stir fry on a high flame for about 3 to 4 minutes.
  11. Add tomato puree, Parmesan cheese and spaghetti.
  12. Toss it well till all the ingredients are mixed well.
  13. Finally add chopped basil and lime juice. Saute for 2 minutes.
  14. Serve hot with your favorite beverage.
