Recipes including two contrasting portions are always relished by foodies. Today's recipe includes a portion of crispy noodles served with moist and flavorful chicken. If you cannot barbecue chicken on a wooden or charcoal grill, roast it in a pan just before serving. Homemade egg noodles will you the best results with an authentic flavor. Instead of boneless chicken, you can also use barbecued fish fillets to get a different version of the same recipe. Needless to say, refrigerating this recipe will spoil the crispiness of the noodles. You can also barbecue some veggies to add some more color to the recipe. For making a spicier version, slit some hot and fresh red chilies and add to the barbecued chicken base.

Delicious chicken with crisp fried noodles

Try this unique combination of lip smacking barbecued chicken chunks with equally delicious crisp fried egg noodles which makes a complete and fulfilling meal.

Preparation Time: 25 minutes
Cooking time: 30 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients:
  • 500 gm boneless chicken pieces
  • 250 gm egg noodles
  • 4 tsp barbecue sauce
  • 2 tsp chili oil
  • 1 Chinese cabbage
  • 1/2 tsp soy sauce
  • few drop of malt vinegar
  • pinch of white pepper powder
  • pinch of cinnamon powder
  • 5 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • refined oil for deep frying
  • salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Add egg noodles in boiling water for 15 seconds and take out.
  2. Sprinkle chili oil on them and keep aside.
  3. Take boneless chicken pieces in a bowl and add barbecue sauce, soy sauce, malt vinegar, white pepper powder, cinnamon powder, olive oil and salt in it.
  4. Mix all the ingredients well with your hands and refrigerate the marinated pieces for half 10 minutes.
  5. Heat refined oil in a deep frying pan.
  6. Once the oil heats up, switch the flame to low.
  7. Add chili oil applied noodles in it and fry for about half a minute.
  8. Take out fried noodles on a paper to remove excess oil.
  9. Prepare a charcoal grill and place marinated chicken pieces on it.
  10. Barbecue for about 6 to 8 minutes from both sides.
  11. Apply the remaining chili oil on chopped pieces of Chinese cabbage and saute for about 2 minutes.
  12. Take a serving plate and place crispy fried noodles on it.
  13. Top it with barbecued chicken pieces and sautéed Chinese cabbage.
  14. Serve immediately with sweet and sour sauce.
