The following delicious recipe shows the classic cauliflower preparation that is quite popular across India. You can also add potatoes in this recipe to increase the amount of servings. Take white and fresh cauliflowers to get the best results. Fresh coriander and cherry tomatoes are used in generous amount in this recipe as they give unique flavor to this preparation. Leftovers of this recipe can be easily stuffed in patties and breads. You can use the same process for broccoli too provided you add some good quality cheese to enhance the flavor. Flavorful cauliflower and tomatoes preparation

Try out this simple yet flavorful preparation made with cauliflower and fresh cherry tomatoes seasoned with select and spicy ingredients for an awesome taste.

Servings: 4

Ingredients:
  • 500 gm cauliflower (chopped)
  • 200 gm cherry tomatoes (finely chopped)
  • 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 large onion (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp coriander seeds powder
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds powder
  • bunch of coriander (chopped)
  • 4 tsp cooking oil
  • salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Wash cauliflower pieces under running water and keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a deep frying pan and add chopped onions in it.
  3. Saute till they turn light brown and add ginger garlic paste.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes and saute till they turn tender and cooked.
  5. Add cauliflower pieces and saute for about 2 minutes.
  6. Add paprika, turmeric powder, coriander seeds powder, cumin seeds powder and salt.
  7. Add 4 tsp of water and cover the lid.
  8. Simmer for about 7 to 8 minutes and switch off the flame.
  9. Add chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
  10. Serve hot with bread or Indian naan.
