I generally prefer to make shrimps in the form of an appetizer. They cook so quickly and tastes heavenly with a spicy sauce. Today's recipe is slightly different and includes moist and creamy broccoli with seasoned shrimps overpowered by garlic. My family generally prefers this recipe with rice. I've used fresh garlic for this recipe, but good quality garlic powder can also be used. To make it more colorful, do not hesitate adding some carrots and bell peppers. That will also help add some fiber to this delicious recipe. Since shrimps gets tender quite fast, cook broccoli in a separate pan and add to the shrimps when it's nearly done. So let's make this flavorful, scrumptious and almost irresistible recipe.

Garlicky and tender shrimps with delicious broccoli

Enjoy this unique combination of tender and delicious shrimps with a strong garlicky flavor which are served with tasty and full of butter broccoli pieces.

Servings: 5

Ingredients:
  • 400 gm fresh shrimps
  • 400 gm broccoli (chopped)
  • 100 gm butter
  • 8 to 10 garlic cloves (mashed)
  • 1/4 tsp white pepper powder
  • 1/4 tsp dried herbs
  • 1/4 tsp dried mint leaves powder
  • 1 green chili paste
  • few drops of balsamic vinegar
  • 3 to 4 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Take a shallow frying pan and heat butter on a medium flame.
  2. When butter completely melts down, add dried herbs and chopped broccoli and switch to low flame.
  3. Continuously stir and saute for about 5 minutes.
  4. Switch off the flame and close the pan lid. Keep aside.
  5. Take a large wok and heat olive oil in it.
  6. Add mashed garlic and saute for about 2 minutes.
  7. Add shrimps and stir on a high flame for about 3 minutes.
  8. Add white pepper powder, mint leaves powder, chili paste, balsamic vinegar and a pinch of salt.
  9. Saute for 3 more minutes and add buttery broccoli.
  10. Stir fry for 2 minutes and switch off the flame.
  11. Serve hot with noodles or fried rice.
