We all are very well aware of the health benefits of broccoli. If you do not like broccoli, today's recipe will help you consume this wonderful vegetable on a frequent basis. While roasting broccoli, the seasoning used in this recipe can be changed as per your taste, but the sauce must be kept original to get a balanced flavor. You can also include some tuberous vegetables to make this recipe more nutritious and colorful. You can serve this unique recipe either as a starter or as a main course meal. I personally prefer it with stew and garlic bread. For kids, you can add some spaghetti to a bowl of roasted broccoli. Lip smacking roasted broccoli with cheesy sauce

Try this simple yet extremely delicious broccoli preparation which is cooked in roasted form and is served with lip smacking and creamy cheddar cheese sauce.

Servings: 4

Ingredients:
  • 600 gm broccoli (chopped)
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • 8 to 10 garlic cloves paste
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes
  • 1/4 tsp white pepper powder
  • 1 tsp peanut butter
  • 1 green chili paste
  • pinch of sugar
  • 1/4 tsp roasted cumin seeds powder
  • 3 to 4 extra virgin olive oil
  • salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Wash broccoli under running water and keep aside.
  2. Take grated cheddar cheese, white pepper powder, garlic paste, peanut butter, 1 tsp olive oil and salt in a shallow frying pan.
  3. Simmer on a very low flame and continuously stir it for about 5 to 6 minutes.
  4. Take another shallow frying pan and heat 2 to 3 tsp olive oil in it.
  5. Add broccoli pieces in it and saute for about half a minute.
  6. Sprinkle, red chili flakes, sugar, roasted cumin seeds powder and salt on it.
  7. Stir fry for 2 more minutes.
  8. Add green chili paste and roast for two minutes.
  9. Add garlic and cheddar cheese sauce from top and simmer for 3 to 4 minutes.
  10. Switch off the flame and serve hot with your favorite bread.
