This is yet another scrumptious spaghetti recipe filled with broccoli and fried sausages. Although I prefer chicken chunks with spaghetti, but this time I decided to add some sausages. It came out well and was cherished by all the family members. Although I've deep fried these sausages, you can saute or grill them before adding to the spaghetti. Surprisingly, I've not used raw tomatoes for this spaghetti and made it more like normal wheat noodles. You can also add bell peppers to this preparation for added flavor. And make sure you're serving it hot as the fried sausages may not taste best if served after a long time. I've used normal chicken sausage here but you can easily replace it with your favorite version.

Nutritious whole wheat spaghetti with sausages

Make this nutritious whole wheat spaghetti recipe consisting of spicy and deep fried sausage chunks along with delicious broccoli pieces seasoned delicately.

Servings: 4

Ingredients:
  • 250 gm spaghetti
  • 2 to 3 large chicken sausages
  • 200 gm broccoli (chopped)
  • 3 tsp tomato ketchup
  • 1/4 tsp mustard paste
  • 1/4 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp mashed garlic
  • 2 tsp onion paste
  • pinch of white pepper powder
  • 3 tsp olive oil
  • salt to taste
  • oil for deep frying

Instructions:

  1. Steam chopped broccoli for about 2 minutes and keep aside.
  2. Add 1 tsp olive oil and a pinch of salt in 1 liter of boiling water.
  3. Add spaghetti and switch off the flame.
  4. Stir for about 3 minutes and drain all the water. Keep aside.
  5. Heat oil in a deep frying pan.
  6. Cut sausages into small pieces and deep fry till they are golden brown.
  7. Heat 2 tsp olive oil in a large wok.
  8. Add mashed garlic and onion paste.
  9. Saute for about a minute on a medium flame.
  10. Add spaghetti, soy sauce, mustard paste and tomato ketchup.
  11. Stir fry for about 2 to 3 minutes on a high flame.
  12. Add broccoli, white pepper powder, fried sausages and a pinch of salt.
  13. Stir fry about 3 more minutes and switch off the flame.
  14. Serve hot in large serving bowls.
