This scrumptious salmon recipe is mild yet its tangy and aromatic flavor will leave a long lasting impression on your mind. I always prefer to use lime with salmon as it gives a unique flavor to the fillets. Although my husband prefers sea food in thick spicy gravy, at times I make the grilled version to give him a surprise. The combination of juicy salad with the fillet makes it a complete meal. Although I've used rosemary for the fillet seasoning, you can use other dried herbs too to further enhance the flavor. To ensure that the fillet is tenderized well, make sure you soak it in lime juice for at least 1/2 an hour. You must also ensure to use the right quantity of lime to avoid extreme tangy flavor.

Delicately flavored salmon fillet

Try out this tangy and flavor packed salmon fillet that’s grilled to perfection and is served with equally nutritious tomato and cucumber salad platter.

Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients:
  • 3 to 4 salmon fillets
  • 4 tsp lime juice
  • 2 cups cucumber (diced)
  • 1 cup tomatoes (sliced)
  • 1 large onion (chopped)
  • few drops of sesame oil
  • pinch of white pepper powder
  • small bunch of fresh rosemary leaves
  • 1 garlic clove paste
  • 4 tsp olive oil
  • salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Mix lime juice, sesame oil, garlic paste and salt.
  2. Soak rosemary in it and apply the marinade on salmon fillets.
  3. Keep it aside for at least 10 minutes.
  4. Add cucumber, tomatoes and onion in a salad bowl.
  5. Add 1 tsp olive oil, white pepper powder and a pinch of salt.
  6. Toss and mix well and keep aside.
  7. Apply olive oil on the marinated salmon fillets.
  8. Grill them for about 6 to 7 minutes at 250 degrees in a preheated oven.
  9. Place seasoned salad on the serving plate.
  10. Place grilled salmon fillet on top.
  11. Garnish with soaked rosemary and fresh lime piece.
  12. Serve with your favorite tangy dip.
