Salad is one of the important parts of main course servings. Generally, we make a similar kind of salad week after week with same ingredients and method. Unlike primary recipes, we pay much less attention to salads. Today's salad preparation has the goodness of fresh fruits with a tangy flavor. Some people may not like the tangy flavor in this salad which can be easily avoided by substituting it with your favorite salad dressing. Pears can't be kept for very long once they're mixed with dressing. That's why you must consume this salad fresh. If you want to refrigerate it for repeated consumption, you must replace pears with some other fruit. Here is this colorful salad that's tasty, juicy and complements your main course dish very well.

Once try this fruity and tangy salad made from select fruits, berries and veggies which is packed with fiber and essential nutrients for your digestive system.

Servings: 6

Ingredients:
  • 200 gm blueberries
  • 250 gm pears
  • 1 large green bell pepper
  • 1 large red bell pepper
  • 200 gm fresh pineapple
  • 200 gm celery
  • a bunch of lettuce leaves
  • 3 to 4 green onions (with leaves)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • pinch of salt
  • pinch of sugar
  • 1/2 tsp balsamic vinegar

Instructions:

  1. Wash all leafy vegetables, fruits and bell pepper under running water.
  2. Cut blueberries in half and keep aside.
  3. Cut bell peppers, pears and pineapple in 1" pieces and keep aside.
  4. Cut celery and green onions in small pieces.
  5. Arrange lettuce leaves on the serving plate.
  6. Mix all fruits and vegetables in a large bowl.
  7. Mix lemon juice, sugar and salt in balsamic vinegar.
  8. Pour on the salad and mix well.
  9. Transfer the salad on the plate on top of lettuce leaves.
  10. Serve fresh with your main course dish.
