Spaghetti can be cooked in different ways with a combination of veggies and meat. This is a slightly modified version of Indonesian and Thai spaghetti which is cooked in strong sesame oil to give it a pungent flavor. Although the original version also contains pork chops, I've limited this one to simple shredded chicken. You can also add broccoli and carrots to this spicy preparation to make it more nourishing and rich in fiber. If you don't like sesame oil, you can substitute it with groundnut or sunflower oil. If you really want to make it hot, you can also add Thai curry paste to this recipe. So let's get ready and make this irresistible spaghetti preparation that can be consumed both at the breakfast as well as in the dinner.

Make this delicious and mouth watering spaghetti preparation made with boneless chicken breast, fresh bell pepper dices and loads of flavorful spices.

Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:
  • 250 gm spaghetti
  • 200 gm boneless chicken breast
  • 1 green bell pepper (diced)
  • 1 red bell pepper (diced)
  • 1 large red onion (sliced)
  • 1/2 tsp lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp chilli flakes
  • 2 green chilies (partially slit from between)
  • 1" piece of ginger (finely chopped)
  • 1/5 cup Thai basil or cilantro (finely chopped)
  • 3 tsp sesame oil
  • salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Cut chicken breasts into small pieces and keep them aside after parboiling.
  2. Parboil spaghetti too and drain extra water.
  3. Take a large wok and heat sesame oil in it.
  4. Add ginger and onions and stir fry on a high flame for about a minute.
  5. Add green chillies and saute for about a minute.
  6. Add chicken breast, soy sauce and bell peppers.
  7. Saute on a high flame for about 3 minutes.
  8. Add spaghetti, lime juice, chilli flakes and pinch of salt.
  9. Stir fry for about 3 to 4 minutes on a high flame.
  10. Add basil and bring down from the flame.
  11. Serve hot with your favorite meat preparation.
