Tortilla wraps are getting quite famous around the world and are available in different varieties with exciting fillings. I generally prefer corn tortillas as they're more healthy and crunchy. Today, I'm going to prepare tortilla wraps made from yummy minced chicken, cheese and some green veggies. It's perfect for breakfast and tea time consumption. As I always say, these wraps will taste best when you serve them hot and fresh. You can combine it with your favorite salsa or a tangy sauce. Vegetarians can replace chicken with baked potatoes and it will taste equally good. Although you can use ready made tortillas for this recipe, but nothing can beat fresh homemade corn tortillas. So let's prepare these spicy and tasty tortilla wraps.

Cheesy chicken tortilla wraps

Relish these cheesy corn tortilla wraps containing mouth watering minced chicken flavored with mild cheese and select spices to make your tea time great.

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Servings: 8

Ingredients:
  • 8 to 10 fresh corn tortillas
  • 400 gm chicken breast
  • 250 gm processed cheese (finely grated)
  • 200 gm broccoli (chopped)
  • 7 to 8 lettuce leaves
  • 1/2 tsp mustard paste
  • 1 big tomato (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
  • 5 tsp olive oil
  • salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Mince chicken and keep aside.
  2. Heat 3 tsp olive oil in a frying pan.
  3. Add mustard paste and chopped tomatoes.
  4. Saute for about 2 minutes.
  5. Add broccoli and minced chicken.
  6. Add black pepper powder and salt.
  7. Saute on medium flame for about 3 minutes.
  8. Cover the lid and let it cook for about 5 minutes.
  9. Apply olive oil on tortillas and roast a bit on both sides.
  10. Add filling in the center and top with grated cheese and lettuce leaves.
  11. Serve hot with your favorite salsa.
