Who doesn't love pizzas? Nowadays there are so many varieties of pizza that one cannot even count them. Every country has developed the localized versions of pizza that are completely different from the original Italian preparation. Generally, pizzas differ because of toppings used in them and that's what we are going to do today. I'm presenting a simple non vegetarian pizza having loads of ham and salami topping. It has a crunchy wheat and corn flour pizza base that is rich in fiber and is good for health. If you avoid red meat, you can also use sliced chicken nuggets in place of ham and salami. So let's make this rich and tasty pizza that is full of calories. Make sure you exercise for an hour if you're consuming the entire crust alone.

Scrumptious ham and salami pizza

Make this rich and cheesy pizza recipe with loads of salami and ham spiced up with aromatic ingredients to give you a fulfilling and irresistible flavor.

Servings: 6

Ingredients:
  • 250 gm wheat flour
  • 50 gm corn flour
  • 1 tsp yeast
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp pepper powder
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 200 gm ham (thinly sliced)
  • 100 gm salami (thinly sliced)
  • 8 to 10 green olives (thinly sliced)
  • 2 medium sized tomatoes (blanched and crushed)
  • 8 button mushrooms (thinly sliced)
  • 100 gm Mozzarella cheese
  • 75 gm Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp chilli flakes
  • 1 tsp dried and crushed oregano
  • 1/4 tsp white pepper powder
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Instructions:

1. To prepare the pizza base, mix yeast in 1/4 cup of warm water and keep aside for 15 minutes.
2. Mix wheat and corn flour along with sugar, salt, garlic and pepper powder.
3. Mix yeast and olive oil and knead the flour pouring warm water in between.
4. Keep the dough moist and spongy. Cover with muslin cloth and keep aside for 1 hour.
5. After one hour when it is fermented, knead a little more and apply some more olive oil. Again keep aside for at least half an hour.
6. Heat some olive oil in a pan and saute ham and salami for half a minute.
7. Saute olives in the same oil for about 2 minutes.
8. Add some salt and pepper powder to blanched and crushed tomatoes.
9. Now roll the dough to make a pizza base. Keep the sides thicker than the crust.
10. Melt Mozzarella cheese and apply the layer on pizza base.
11. Make another layer of seasoned crushed tomatoes.
12. Spread salami, mushroom and ham pieces.
13. Sprinkle olives and cover the topping with grated Parmesan cheese.
14. Preheat oven at 300 degrees.
15. Bake the pizza for at least 15 minutes.
16. Season with chilli flakes and crushed oregano.
17. Serve hot with your favorite dipping and chips.
