There are so many varieties of pasta that you can't even count them on fingers. I've cooked three to four types of pasta and it's very difficult to say - which one is the best? Today I'm going to present a main course pasta dish paired with prawns and chicken fillets. I've used fettuccine pasta for this recipe as it goes well with meat products. This pasta is more popular in Roman cuisine and is made of eggs and flour. If you're a vegetarian you can replace chicken and prawns with broccoli, zucchini and eggplant. You can either use dried fettuccine or can prepare it fresh to get the best results. So let's get started and see how to make this fulfilling, hot and tasty chicken pasta preparation.

Fettuccine paste made with prawns

Make this piping hot Fettuccine pasta bowl with delicious fresh prawns and chicken breast which are flavored with aromatic spices and mouth watering cheese.

Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 25 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients:
  • 300 gm dried fettuccine
  • 250 gm chicken breast (cut into 2" pieces)
  • 150 gm fresh prawns (deveined)
  • 2 green bell peppers (medium sized - diced)
  • 100 gm Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
  • 2 tsp lime juice
  • 1/4 tsp dried rosemary
  • 4 garlic cloves (crushed)
  • small bunch of fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • salt to taste

Instructions:

1. Add some salt in the boiling water and add pasta to it.
2. Continuously stir the pasta in boiling water and drain it completely after 3 minutes.
3. Pour cold water on pasta for half-a-minute and keep aside.
4. Heat oil in a pan and add crushed garlic and few basil leaves.
5. Saute for a minute and add chicken and prawns.
6. Continuously stir for about 3 minutes and add bell peppers.
7. Stir for a minute and add pasta and black pepper powder.
8. Saute for about 2 minutes and add cheese.
9. Stir well for about 2 minutes and switch off the flame.
10. Immediately add lime juice and rosemary. Stir it well
11. Serve hot with your favorite wine.
