I'm sure you love seafood and fish preparations. I normally prefer fish curry with steamed or boiled rice, but other seafood preparations do attract my taste buds. Today, we going to make extremely delicious fried fish fingers that can be taken as starters or as a main course meal. You can complement these tasty and crispy fish fingers with your favorite sauce. I prefer sauce made with coriander or mint. For those, who eat less spicy can reduce the amount of chilli and other spices as per their taste. Instead of shallow frying, you can also bake them in an oven. If you have ready fish fingers in your refrigerator, you can easily prepare this recipe in quick time. So let's make this delicious fried fish recipe.

Delicious deep fried fish fingers

Munch these crisp and scrumptious fish fingers that are delicately made for every occasion and can be easily relished with hot, creamy and spicy dips or sauces.

Preparation Time: 1 hour
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients:
  • 400 gm boneless fish (1" x 1" x 3" fingers)
  • 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 3/4 cup corn flour or coarsely ground rice flour
  • 1 cup vegetable oil (for deep frying)
  • salt to taste

Instructions:

1. Wash the fingers thoroughly under running water and keep aside.
2. Mix lime juice, ginger-garlic paste, salt in a bowl and marinate fish fingers for about an hour.
3. Mix salt and red-chilli powder to the rice flour.
4. Heat oil in a deep frying pan.
5. Roll-over marinated fingers in spiced up rice flour so that it covers the fingers.
6. Fry on medium heat till golden brown.
7. Take out fried fingers on blotting paper and soak excess oil.
8. Serve hot with coriander chutney.
